The only Matuška museum in the world was opened on 3 July 2012 and was founded by the singer’s close friend, Miroslav Frost, who lives in Josefov. After an agreement with Matuška’s widow, Olga, the museum was ceremonially opened on the 80th anniversary of Matuška’s birth. The unique collection includes tens of exhibits that remind visitors of the charismatic singer. There are records, magazines and posters. Some of the most interesting objects are Matuška’s personal items, such as his piano or suit, which were lent to the museum by his widow.
The fans of this musical giant will certainly have a great time visiting.
